Inspiration is all around us.

Walking around downtown you find a lot of inspiration for both thought and artwork. These are some of the things i have came across. I'm interested in the typography of the photos, which is basically the layout of the text and the visually experience it brings. The textures of the background and the actual images. Since I'm an art student I see a lot of things that catch my eye design wise.

Why me flash drive ??!!!

Well today tragedy struck in the digital aquarium, somehow as i was working on my specialty item my flash drive malfunctioned. It erased every file i had on it and now pops up as an unreadable device when i put it in. I was working on updating my blog and printing things out but now of course I cant. The rule is of course to back up files and i did that up until my self mailer, and had planned on backing up the files when i got home this evening. Just a post saying no more re branding updates for me until i figure out something... :(

Self mailer!

self mailer--- It is advertising that Southern Sweets caters, ships, delivers, and also is a running cafe type place. As you open the mailer you take slices out of the pie to be left with an eaten pie image and crumbs revealing information about each of the services offered.

Its ad time!!

I really enjoyed the clever kind of funny tone of the advertisements above. By both color and image alone the ads caught my attention. I want my ad to be funny/ witty, and use simple text to go along with it. I would probably use bold text and incorporate bakery goods like cakes and pies in a thoughtful yet funny way.

Staionary Changes

Changed some more since last time :) satisfied more with this design. The lines compliment and go along with the welcoming family bakery atmosphere i am trying to portray.
